Important Notes ----------------------------------------- 1. Muskoka transforms into a magical winter wonderland, full of snowy surprises and ever-changing weather. While a local company regularly plows and shovels after snowfalls, we cannot guarantee the driveway and pathways will always be freshly cleared during your stay. We strive to maintain ideal access and appreciate guests using their best judgment to navigate and enjoy the property during the winter months. 2. Maintaining a good relationship with our neighbors is crucial. Loud music, shouting, and loud profanities are not tolerated at any time. This mostly applies to outdoor activities from May-Sept. Kids being kids—running around and making noise—is completely fine. 3. Parts of Three Mile Lake may experience algae blooms from late August to October, making swimming not recommended (but paddling is usually fine). Our cottage in Green Bay is historically affected the least and later in the season. For more details, visit the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit. 3. During the summer we have someone cut the grass and in the winter to clear the snow. We try to provide advance notice, but cannot gurantee it.

Neighborhood
3 Mile Lake it is located in between Port Carling, Huntsville and Bracebridge, and is about a 15-20 drive from each. To get to our cottage you make your way through quintessential Muskoka country and eventually towards a quiet peninsula dotted with cottages. The neighborhood is remote, quiet and peaceful, and we politely ask guests to respect this during their visit.

All the parking you need is in our driveway which is plowed during the winter. The roads are nice and quiet and great for family walks, but to get to any stores, a vehicle is required.
